Some 60 percent of Turkey's lakes have dried up as a result of severe drought, a recent report by the Water Policies Association revealed, the daily Milliyet reported on Aug. 26. Underground water reserves have also shrunk drastically, prompting suspicion of water-related migration in the near future.
