79-year-old worker dies at construction site in Turkey

A 79-year-old worker died after falling from the terrace of a construction where he was working in Turkey’s Konya province.

A 79-year-old worker with the initials A.Ç. died at a construction site in the Seydişehir district of the central province of Konya, state-run Anadolu reported on Oct. 4.

Accordingly, A.Ç. was working on the construction of a building in the Ketenli neighborhood. He was seriously injured when he slipped and fell due to the membrane coating while climbing to the terrace of the construction.

A.Ç. lost his life at the hospital while receiving treatment. 

Several social media users criticized the economic turmoil in Turkey that forced a 79-year-old man to work in a construction.
