Ankara Mayor Yavaş calls on 565 NGOs to prepare municipality budget together

Ankara Mayor Mansur Yavaş has called on 565 non-governmental organizations to prepare the municipality's budget together. Ankara Mayor Mansur Yavaş has called on 565 non-governmental organizations to prepare the municipality's budget together.

"Let's prepare our 2021 fiscal year budget together. Share your suggestions and thoughts on sharing resources and the projects you need resources for," Yavaş said in a tweet on Aug. 24.

"We'll shape the future of this city always with a common mind," he added.

Yavaş, who is from the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) has said that the municipality accepts transparency, participation and the responsibility to be held accountable as part of their understanding of governance.

The NGOs will be able to submit their suggestions and contribute to the budget formation process from http://www.ankara.bel.tr/stk-tablo website.
