Davutoğlu meets with EU ambassadors in Ankara
Future Party chair Ahmet Davutoğlu met with Christian Berger, the head of EU Delegation to Turkey, and ambassadors of EU countries in Ankara. Davutoğlu shared his views about foreign and domestic politics as well as the EU-Turkey relations during the meeting.

Ahmet Davutoğlu, the Turkish former prime minister who quit the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) to form the rival Future Party last year, on Feb. 3 met with Ambassador Christian Berger, the head of the EU Delegation to Turkey, and ambassadors of the EU member countries in the capital Ankara.
Davutoğlu shared his views about foreign and domestic politics as well as the EU-Turkey relations during the meeting. He answered the ambassadors' questions and thanked them for hosting him.
The former prime minister, 60, announced his resignation from the AKP in September of last year, saying the party which has dominated Turkish politics for 17 years was no longer able to solve the country’s problems and was stifling internal debate.
He served as prime minister from 2014 to 2016, before falling out with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and being replaced by another Erdoğan loyalist as Turkey moved to a presidential system.
