Istanbul Municipality will operate ferries 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays after the practice was implemented for buses, subways and the special vehicles metrobus, it said Feb. 27.

City lines ferries will be offering transportation at four different central piers: Kadıköy, Karaköy, Beşiktaş and Üsküdar.

The night trips charge passengers double the regular fare.

The first night runs were conducted by the ferries Feb. 28.
