Main Istanbul roads to close off for Formula 1 promotion videos

Some of Istanbul's most-used roads will be closed off on Nov. 9, 10 and 11 for the shooting of promotional videos for the Formula 1 Grand Prix. The road closures include Galata Bridge and the July 15 Martyrs' Bridge over the Bosphorus.

Istanbul police will be closing off essential roads on Nov. 9, 10 and 11 to shoot promotional videos for the Formula 1 Grand Prix race scheduled to start on Nov. 13.

Traffic will be paused on the main bridge over the Bosphorus on Nov. 9, along with Kuruçeşme Street that runs along the water.

On Nov. 10, Kennedy Street that runs along the beach on the European side will be closed off.

Galata Bridge, located over the Golden Horn, will be closed off on Nov. 10, along with any roads leading to it.

The most commonly used bridge over the Bosphorus, July 15 Martyrs' Bridge will be closed off on Nov. 11, redirecting all traffic to the two other bridges.
