A man was taken into custody for allowing his 10-year-old son drive a semi-trailer truck on the highway.
Hasan Akbayır, 46, was caught in a road control in Ankara. He was sought by the police after footage came out showing his son driving a semi-trailer on the Ankara-Konya Highway. The footage was shared on social media.
Akbayır said that looking back, he realizes he endangered thousands of people in traffic.
"Thank God nothing happened, we are alive. I regret it so much, I'm prepared to pay any fines necessary," Akbayır said.
Akbayır was fined and judiciary proceedings have been initiated.
