Nationalist Turkish deputy attends Erdoğan-Trump meeting in White House
A MHP deputy attended the meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the White House on Nov. 13. Another MHP deputy was also among the delegation, in an unexpected move. Three Republican senators were present in the meeting upon Trump's invitation.

A deputy from Turkey's Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) has attended the meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in a surprise move by the Turkish delegation.
MHP deputy leader and lawmaker İsmail Faruk Aksu was seen in the pictures taken during the meeting that lasted for one hour and 15 minutes in the White House on Nov. 13.
Aksu was seen sitting next to National Intelligence Agency (MİT) chief Hakan Fidan, as Republican senators Lindsey Graham, Tim Scott and Ted Cruz also attended the meeting upon Trump's invitation.
İsmail Özdemir, the MHP deputy from the Central Anatolian province of Kayseri, was also among the Turkish delegation.
Both Özdemir and Aksu shared pictures from the talks they had in Washington.
The MHP has been an ally of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP).
