A navigation app sent a Turkish driver named Osman Karaoğlan down a set of stairs in Istanbul's Ümraniye district on Sept. 29.

Karaoğlan's car toppled over, but the driver was able to get out of the vehicle uninjured.

"I was driving on the street when the navigation told me to turn right, so it pointed [to the stairs] as a street," Karaoğlan said. "I started toppling down in my car."

The driver stopped by hitting a wall, and got out through the window.  There were no signs indicating no entry, Karaoğlan added.
