Police detain man for growing cannabis on grandparents' graves in Turkey

Turkish police have detained a 29-year-old man for growing cannabis on his grandparents' graves.

Police have detained a man for growing cannabis on his grandparents' graves in the western province of Afyonkarahisar. 

Authorities determined that cannabis was grown by a 29-year-old man identified only as Ç.G. after locals alerted security forces upon seeing cannabis on graves, Demirören News Agency reported on July 16. 

Police raided the house that Ç.G. was living with his father and seized methamphetamine and weed. 

Ç.G. and his father G.G. were detained on charges of producing and dealing drugs.
