Turkey's pro-Kurdish HDP meets with representatives from 26 EU countries
The HDP has conducted an online meeting with representatives from 26 EU member states regarding Turkey-EU relations, human rights, and the Kurdish issue. HDP co-chair Pervin Buldan said that the EU needs to take a more consistent stance against Turkey's "increasingly authoritarian government."

Leaders from the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) conducted an online meeting with representatives from 26 EU member states regarding Turkey-EU relations, human rights, and the Kurdish issue.
HDP co-chair Pervin Buldan, party spokeswoman Ebru Günay, and foreign relations commission co-spokespersons Feleknas Uca and Hişyar Özsoy were among the politicians that attended the hour-long meeting on Sept. 22.
Buldan said that the EU needs to take a more consistent stance against Turkey's "increasingly authoritarian government."
Buldan emphasized that Europe's Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT) has released reports indicating that the rights of those behind bars in Turkey's prisons are being violated, and that among the penal institutions guilty of rights violations include İmralı, the island where Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) leader Abdullah Öcalan is being held.
