Turkish jets hit Iraq's Sinjar
The Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) have carried out airstrikes on Iraq's Sinjar as part of an operation called "Claw-Eagle." Defense Minister Hulusi Akar directed operation from the Air Force Command Control Center alongside Chief of General Staff Gen. Yaşar Güler, Land Forces Commander Gen. Ümit Dündar, Air Forces Commander Gen. Hasan Küçükakyüz and Naval Forces Commander Adnan Özbal.

The Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) have carried out airstrikes on Iraq's Sinjar as part of an operation called "Claw-Eagle."
The operation was launched against the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in northern Iraq, Defense Ministry said on June 15.
The ministry said on Twitter that 81 PKK targets were destroyed in Sinjar, Qandil, Karacak, Zap, Avashin-Basyan and Hakurk.
"While planning and executing the operation, Turkish forces took great care to protect the lives and property of civilians, as well as the environment," it said.
Defense Minister Hulusi Akar directed operation from the Air Force Command Control Center alongside Chief of General Staff Gen. Yaşar Güler, Land Forces Commander Gen. Ümit Dündar, Air Forces Commander Gen. Hasan Küçükakyüz and Naval Forces Commander Adnan Özbal.
Akar phoned the pilots to thank them for completing the operation, adding that the shelters where "terrorists were planning heinous attacks on our country, nation and bases" were destroyed.
