Turkish lawyer shot in front of courthouse over debt collection proceedings

A Turkish lawyer named Abdulkadir İnce was shot on Oct. 7 by two people against whom he had launched judicial debt collection proceedings.

A Turkish lawyer named Abdulkadir İnce was shot in front of the Konya Courthouse on Oct. 7 by two people against whom he had launched judicial debt collection proceedings. 

The two suspects reportedly got into İnce's car in front of the courthouse and started arguing, which led to one of them shooting the lawyer in the leg. 

The lawyer was taken to the hospital for an injury to his foot while the two suspects were detained by police. 

The Konya Bar Association said that they were still processing camera footage of the attack, adding that they would continue to follow up on the incident.
