Turkish man arrested for making 11,000 false reports to emergency line

A 37-year-old Turkish man identified only as S.K. was arrested for making 11,000 false reports to the 112 emergency line in southeastern Turkey.

A 37-year-old Turkish man was arrested for calling the 112 emergency phone line thousands of times to make false reports. 

The man, identified only as S.K. called 112 some 1,000 times, prompting police in the southeastern province of Gaziantep to detain the individual.

S.K. was also revealed to have texted 112 some 10,000 times, Demirören News Agency reported on Oct. 28.   

The suspect was detained from his home before being arrested.
