Turkish specialized sergeant detained over drug dealing in Turkey's southeast
A Turkish specialized sergeant was detained over dealing drugs in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır.

A specialized sergeant was apprehended with 42.1 kilograms of marijuana in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır, Demirören News Agency reported on Nov. 1.
Hanifi N., a sergeant on duty at Lice Gendarmerie Command, was caught in the neighboring province of Urfa after security officials received information that a suspect was planning to bring drugs to the city.
Gendarmerie officials then stopped Hanifi N.'s car in Urfa's Hilvan district and found 42.1 kilograms of marijuana hidden in the vehicle.
In his testimony, Hanifi N. said that he was planning to sell the drugs to Hasan A. for 200,000 Turkish liras, prompting officials to detain him as well.
The investigation into the case was ongoing.
