Voting ends in Turkish presidential run-off
Voting ended at 5 p.m. local time across Turkey in the second round of the presidential elections. More than 191,000 ballot boxes were set up in 973 districts across the country.

Millions of Turkish citizens went to the ballot boxes on May 28 to cast their votes for either Recep Tayyip Erdoğan or Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in the second round of the presidential elections.

After the end of the voting period, the head of the Supreme Election Council Ahmet Yener said that "no negative situation" had occurred on the election day.
Meanwhile, President Erdoğan released a message on Twitter, saying that "it is now time to protect the will of our nation until the end." "Unit the results are finalized, I call on all of my brothers to protect the ballot boxes," he tweeted.
According to the election law and the YSK, no independent news or broadcasts pertaining to the elections shall be permitted until 9 p.m., however, the YSK might lift the ban at an earlier time.
