The contractor of a collapsed building complex where 70 people lost their lives in the Feb. 6-dated earthquakes, has turned out to be the local branch head of the Turkish Red Crescent (Kızılay) in the southeastern Adıyaman province.
Mehmet Murat Bulut, the contractor of the Süeda Kent Building Complex, was detained on March 16 in Adıyaman, as part of an investigation run by the prosecutor’s office. Following his testimony, he was arrested by a court order.
It has come out to light that Bulut serves as the head of the Adıyaman Kızılay branch since 2019, according to reporting by online news outlet Artı Gerçek.
