The top authority for directing private-funded public foundations, Turkey's Foundations Directorate General hasn't started working on a safe schedule amid the COVID-19 pandemic despite 30 diagnoses in the building, daily Cumhuriyet reported on Sept. 21.
Turkish Confederation of Public Workers Associations (Kamu-Sen) revealed that the directorate had failed to implement a rotation schedule or distanced working in the Ankara headquarters, although the city's been reported to be central to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The confederation urged the Family, Labor and Social Services Ministry to diminish workers' interactions in a report, noting that the headquarters mandate employees to share spaces.
"It would be beneficial to start working remotely or on a rotation as the information technology allows it," Kamu Sen said.

The confederation also noted that industrial and chemical production under state authority had been ongoing as usual, violating a presidential decree.
Factories of the national Defense Ministry, the state's Electricity Production Corp. (EÜAŞ), and the Eti Mine Works facilities have failed to implement a rotation schedule mandated by the presidency, or have gaps in their practices, the report said.
The confederation urged Ankara to ensure hygiene measures are implemented, to switch units that are able to a rotation schedule and to compensate workers for working under heightened risk.
