Turkey will limit intercity bus travel and ban walks and fishing along the seashores and beaches, as well as jogging in forests and parks on weekends, as Ankara extends measures against the coronavirus.
The new implementation will come into effect on March 28, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu told an interview on NTV news channel on March 27.
Local governors could decide to extend the decision to week days, he said.
"Intercity bus travels in all of the bus terminals will be subject to permission; we will not allow travels for those that do not have a compelling reason," he said.
"As of tonight, visits to picnic areas, forests and seashores will be banned across whole Turkey on weekends," he said.
