The governor of the southeastern province of Şanlıurfa has put on a disguise and carried out an inspection at hospitals to see if they are complying with the COVID-19 measures.

Gov. Abdullah Erin put on a hat and a glass in order to be not recognized by anyone. Erin's attempt turned out be a success as no one seemed to recognize the governor.

Erin sat at the waiting lounge of the hospitals and monitored the procedures taken by the health officials. The governor is expected to notify of the shortcomings to the provincial health directorate.

The undercover inspection came after Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced on Aug. 11 that Şanlıurfa was one of the five provinces that registered the highest number of COVID-19 patients in the last three days.
