Duvar English - Hundreds of anti-vaxxers gathered in Istanbul's Maltepe on Sept. 11 for what they called the "Great Awakening Rally."
The crowd, believing in "plandemic," chanted slogans against Bill Gates, whom they said is a part of a global conspiracy to control humanity. "Damn you Bill Gates! You will be tried," shouted one of the demonstrators.
The group of over 2,000 people, some from the so-called Plandemic Resistance Movement, slammed official coronavirus-related mandates including vaccinations, tests and masks, responding to new government measures and an inoculation push.
In Turkey's largest such protest, mostly maskless people shouted slogans, held placards and Turkish flags, and sang songs in defense of what they called individual rights, echoing anti-vaccine rallies in some other countries.
