Journalist Murat Yetkin has penned a piece on the possible effects of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's remarks on shutting down U.S. air base İncirlik in the southern province of Adana on the relationship between the two NATO allies.

Yetkin also takes a look at the recent events that raised tensions between Ankara and Washington.
