Turkey spent 130 million liras for services in Syrian towns near border

The Turkish government spent a total of 130 million TL for services in Syria between 2016 and 2019.

The tenders, which were offered in the city of Gaziantep, were aimed at construction and renovation of schools and hospitals, providing food, fuel, transportation, laboratory services, athletic facilities, sports equipment, transporting students and school supplies. The services were mostly focused in Syrian towns Jarablus, Al Bab, Bizaah and Qabasin.

The bids were usually given to the same firms: ER-KA received seven bids, each one around a million TL; Medikent received seven bids too, each worth 5.2 million TL; Mehmet Şahin Özçubukçu won six bids, each worth 6.3 million TL; Kandamar Construction received six bids of 1.6 million TL; Dünya Tat Yemek had three bids of 2 million TL; Gazi Nur Petroleum had two bids of 2.3 million TL and Aydemir Petroleum had three bids of 2.7 million TL.
