The pilot of an Ankara-Munich Turkish Airlines flight was forced to abort landing after two passengers attacked a woman with disabilities.
Two Austrian women in their 20s reportedly threw various objects at the 55-year-old woman with disabilities, as well as her 52-year-old relative.
According to German daily Münchner Merkur, the Austrian passengers also threatened the other two women.
As the incident turned into a brawl, the pilot was forced to abort landing over security reasons and was able to land at Munich Airport after flight personnel brought the situation under control.
No one was wounded in the incident and German police detained the assailants, who also reportedly attacked security forces, upon landing.
The women were drunk and used drugs, according to initial examinations.
A probe was launched into both of them over attacking a passenger during a flight, causing injuries and attacking police officers.
