Paragliders in the Black Sea region of Turkey had to stop activities as President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was on a visit to the area, and he would be in a car on a highway underneath their route.
The paragliders were on a weekend glide when a police helicopter approached them and started circling around them until instructor Ömer Yılmaz signaled that he would land on the ground.
The police cited security reasons for their warning.
Footage of the interaction between police and Yılmaz also shows a woman who is gliding with the instructor.
The young woman is seen holding a selfie stick that captures the video, where the instructor is forced to land in the designated area where he then has a brief discussion with police.
