Four baby pythons die during smuggling transport in southern Turkey
Four baby pythons were found suffocated to death in a box on an intercity bus in the southern province of Antalya. The person who was determined to have loaded the box on the bus' cargo section was fined over seven thousand liras.

Four baby pythons that were placed in a box to be smuggled on an intercity bus ride were found dead in the southern province of Antalya.
The baby pythons, each about two meters long, were noticed by a security guard who noticed them on an X-ray machine.
Upon the guard's report, officials from the Nature Protection and Natural Parks Antalya Directorate arrived on the scene.
The officials noted that the snakes had died of suffocation in the box they were placed in.
The person who was determined to have loaded the box to the bus' cargo section was fined some 7,697 Turkish Liras for violating the Land Hunting Code.
