Two people were quarantined on suspicion of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır and the northwestern province of Sakarya on March 11.
The reports of quarantine came hours after Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said that one person was diagnosed with the virus in Turkey, reporting the first case in the country.
In Sakarya’s Sapanca district, the condition of a woman who returned to Turkey after visiting Saudi Arabia for umrah is being observed.
The woman went to the Sapanca State Hospital with complaints of cough and was quarantined after doctors determined that her case was suspicious.
In Diyarbakır, a person who went to the Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital with high fever complaints was also quarantined. The entrances and exits to the hospital’s emergency room was banned.
