The Governor's Office in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır has banned visits to cemeteries as part of the measures against the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The office on April 2 said that cemetery visits that are usually carried out on Thursdays threaten public health due to being incompatible with social isolation and distancing.

In addition to the ban on cemetery visits, the office announced a number of measures concerning inner city transportation, including leaving spaces between the seats.

Elsewhere, Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya said that working hours of pharmacies were changed. Pharmacies will be open between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. in accordance with pharmaceutists' demand, shorter than the usual hours between 8:30 a.m. and 7p.m.
