Southeast Turkey district assigns teachers to inspect parks, ensure social distancing

The Lice district of southeastern Diyarbakır assigned 22 teachers to inspect their parks for ten days. The teachers will be tasked with ensuring park visitors abide by COVID-19 prevention measures.

The Lice district of the southeastern province of Diyarbakır assigned 22 teachers to "inspect parks and warn individuals" who break COVID-19 prevention measures, Mesopotamia Agency reported.

The Lice Education Directorate applied for the district governor to approve the assignment of 22 teachers, six of whom are women, for the inspection of local parks.

The teachers will be inspecting parks for 10 days.

Turkey's lifted almost all bans and curfews in the country, but social distancing and wearing masks are still mandatory in public places.
