Since Nov. 29 morning, Istanbul - home to 16 million people - has been facing powerful winds that ripped off rooftops, uprooted trees and damaged several structures.

The wind ripped off roofs and tore down signboards as rising seas flooded streets and waves crashed along the shores of the Bosphorus.

The winds also blew away roofs, uprooted trees, damaged several vehicles, and knocked down traffic lights.

Four people were killed, including a foreign national, and dozens hurt, the Istanbul Governor's Office announced.
