Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu has urged everyone to be careful about COVID-19, saying that the virus "managed to even knock him down."
Responding to questions about his treatment process after he was diagnosed with the virus, Soylu said, "No one should trust themselves."
"You arrive at a point where you are thankful for being able to breathe," Soylu said on Nov. 16, adding that he thought he would never contract the virus.
"I work 18 hours a day. I thought the virus wouldn't affect me, but it doesn't mind being brave. So no one should trust themselves," he said.
Soylu then went on to list his daily routine.
"I'm a person who can travel between 5-6 provinces a day. I can work until three or four in the morning and then wake up early to continue working. This virus even knocked me down. So you should be careful," he said.
