The provincial governor's office of Muğla on Jan. 15 shared a partisan video on ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) from its official Twitter account. In the video, people carry AKP flags and show support for President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during an opening ceremony held in the Aegean province of Muğla on Jan. 14.
Erdoğan is both the President of the country and the leader of AKP.
The video stirred huge reaction on social media, as users criticized a state institution sharing a partisan video.
After the reaction, the governor's office did not take a step back and pinned the tweet in question on top of the account.
