Journalist Murat Yetkin has penned an analysis on who will the successor of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan be, focusing on the ceremony held to announce Turkey's natural gas find.
"While watching President Tayyip Erdoğan announcing at a ceremony the natural gas discovery in the Black Sea, I also had the impression that we are witnessing the ceremony for the announcement of a successor to him," Yetkin said.
"Of course, neither Erdoğan is the sultan nor his son-in-law and Treasury and Finance Berat Albayrak is the crown prince," he added.
"With a phone call from a source from the business world, I realized that I was not the only one who thought the president might have pointed to Albayrak as his successor, the person he wanted to succeed him," Yetkin noted.
