Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has said that his party won't criticize Turkey's natural gas find in the Black Sea contrary to the government's wish.

Kılıçdaroğlu told his party members that the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) wants the CHP to criticize the find, but warned them not to do so, daily Milliyet reported on Aug. 26.

"We won't do what they want us to do. They want us to criticize, but we won't. Why would we?" Kılıçdaroğlu reportedly told CHP members.

"The fact that natural gas was found in our country only makes us happy as long as the resources from it are used for the benefit of the people and are realistic," he added.

'I'm the minister who is attacked the most'

Separately, Treasury and Finance Minister Berat Albayrak said that he is the minister who is attacked the most.

"Do you know what affect does this have on me? It gives me great energy. There are very appropriate things being done, but some people are bothered by this," Albayrak said in an interview on Aug. 25.

"This country's most unlucky aspect is its opposition. They brainwash educated people and the truth is not seen. This opposition was saddened by the fact that 83 million were happy about this development," he said, referring to the gas find.
