Sivasspor, who lost 1-0 to Fiorentina in the UEFA European Conference League, was defeated 1-4 in the rematch at home on March 16. During the match that ended Sivasspor's European campaign, two fans entered the pitch and attacked the players of the rival team. They were later arrested.
One of the Sivasspor fans punched Fiorentina's Alessandro Bianco, causing him to suffer from a nosebleed. When parademics intervened, they determined that the 20-year-old footballer had his nose broken.
Two men who entered the pitch were caught and taken out of the stadium. A Turkish court ruled the arrest of them afterward.
Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano reacted to the incident in his post-match statement and said it is an "condemnable act."
