The first practice that proved useful in Şırnak was a 15-tent field hospital at the Habur Border Gate on the Iraqi border, where healthcare staff offered outpatient services. 

The extension of the regular lockdown period on settlements to 28 days from a mere 14 was reported to be another useful practice in the province. 

The province actively used 13 local state dormitories in the fight against COVID-19, namely as isolation and treatment centers. 

The southeastern province became the first location in Turkey to make mask use mandatory and had mobile "scanning" teams working on the field.
