Turkish Parliament officially condemns Israel’s massacre in Rafah

Turkish Parliament’s general assembly adopted a parliamentary resolution condemning Israel’s massacre in the refugee camp for displaced Gazans in Rafah, resulting in the killing of dozens of civilians. The resolution underlined that Netanyahu and his administration have been “going beyond the apartheid regime practices and turning into a genocide.”

Turkish Parliament on May 29 adopted a resolution officially condemning Israel’s massacre in Rafah city that killed at least 45 civilians in an air strike against the refugee camp for displaced Gazans.

The resolution was published on the official gazette on May 30 with the signature of speaker Numan Kurtulmuş.

The parliamentary resolution stated, “Israel, under the Netanyahu administration, known for its disregard of international court decisions, occupation, and oppression, continues to target civilian residential areas. Despite the International Court of Justice's ruling to halt operations, the Zionists' brutality continues in plain view of the entire world.”

The resolution emphasized that the occupying Israeli administration has bombed the tents in Rafah, which were designated as safe areas for Gazans, using incendiary weapons, resulting in the bloodshed of hundreds of innocents.

The resolution underlined that Netanyahu and his administration have been “going beyond the apartheid regime practices and turning into a genocide.”

The resolution also called on other countries to recognize the Palestinian state immediately. “We call on the United Nations Security Council to urgently convene and adopt a resolution on Israel's cessation of hostilities. Human dignity and international law must be respected and the safety of innocent people must be ensured immediately.”

The resolution was unanimously adopted at the General Assembly.

As of May 30, in the 237 days of Israel's bombardment in the Gaza Strip, the number of Palestinians killed by Israel has risen to 36,224, with the number of injured reaching 81,777.
