The Research Center for Strengthening Human Rights and Combating Violence at Celal Bayar University in the western province of Manisa quoted Nazi leader Adolf Hitler on the homepage of their website before removing it following social media uproar.

Hitler's quote in Turkish, saying, “Where the mind ends and is silent, the final decision belongs to violence,” was removed from the website after massive reaction on social media.

Under the words of Hitler, who caused the death of millions of people during and before World War II, expressions such as "No to all forms of violence", "There is no conflict, there is peace," "There is no fight, there is kindness," and "There is no violence, there is love" were also posted.

Other references on the website include names such as Prophet Muhammad, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and Mahatma Gandhi.
