Noyan had said that her family hadn't been able to do everything they wanted during the failed coup attempt of July 15, 2016.

"Our family has a capability of taking out 50 people. We are very prepared regarding this – both financially and spiritually. Everyone should be very careful. I have three to five neighbors [who are coup plotters]. My list is ready," Noyan had said in a TV show.

The Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office's Press Crimes Bureau had initiated an investigation into Noyan following her remarks and Turkey's media watchdog had fined the broadcaster for airing the segment.
