Turkey remains on EU's travel list of COVID-risky countries
Turkey remained on the European Union's (EU) list of risky countries to travel to amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Turkey is a discouraged travel destination for the EU except for mandatory trips. The EU reported that they will start allowing access to travelers from Turkey if they are able to prove COVID-19 immunity either via vaccination or recovery from the illness starting on July 1.

Turkey remained on the European Union's (EU) list of risky countries to travel to amid the COVID-19 pandemic yet again, BBC Turkish reported on July 4.
Remaining in the orange risk category on the EU's risk scale, Turkey is a discouraged travel destination for the EU except for mandatory trips.
EU member states' ambassadors gathered in Brussels and ruled in favor of lifting restrictions to Japan in addition to Australia, Israel, South Korea, Rwanda, Thailand, Singapore and New Zealand that were cleared in previous weeks.
England also remains on the list of the EU's risky travel destinations, meaning that travelers from both countries to a member state will be kept under a 10-day quarantine after presenting negative PCR test results.
Travel visas to the EU from Turkey are only granted to persons who are citizens or who have residency permits, along with travelers whose trips are proven to be mandatory.
