Turkish YouTube series to star two trans women in leading roles

A new production by trans artist Göksu Başaran, Koza will air as a YouTube series and will star two trans women in leading roles. A drama and comedy, the show will include cameos by famous actors in each episode and was inspired by true events.

Trans Turkish artist Göksu Başaran started producing a YouTube series titled "Koza," which means "cocoon" in Turkish, starring two trans women in leading roles.

Directed by Kevin Leonardo Jose Arthur and written by Serdar Saraçoğlu, the show was inspired by true events. 

Başaran will also be the lead actress as the character of Sinem across from Bergüzar Bercan Mercan in the role of Sude.

A drama and comedy, the show will include cameos by famous actors in each episode, and famous Turkish actress Suna Selen will be in the first episode. 

The show will air soon, Başaran said, although no official release date was announced.
