Two police officers have died after ammunition exploded during a delivery at the special forces branch directorate in the eastern province of Bingöl.

The police officers were severely injured when the ammunition exploded during an anti-tank training on March 22, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu said.

The two died after they were taken to the Bingöl State Hospital for treatment, the Bingöl Governor’s Office said.
