UAE says it aligned with Greece, Egypt, France against Turkey in East Med row
UAE Foreign Minister Anwar Gargash has said that his country aligned with Greece, Eypgt and France against Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean row. The UAE, France and Egypt strongly oppose Ankara's policies in the region and do not refrain from showing their support Greece.

The top diplomat of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has said his country has aligned with Greece, Egypt and France in their stance against Turkey.
UAE Foreign Minister Anwar Gargash said that Turkey was “intervening in Arab affairs” in remarks made during the sixth edition of the virtual Rome MED - Mediterranean Dialogues Conference on Nov. 26.
The UAE “has taken a position against Turkey, in cooperation with Egypt, Greece and France,” Gargash was quoted as saying by Turkey's state-run Anadolu Agency.
“In order to cope with the regional influence of well-established countries such as Turkey and Iran, the UAE has positioned itself together with some Arab countries in areas which it does not share any geostrategic and conventional connection or interests,” Gargash was quoted as saying.
In August, the UAE sent four F-16 fighter jets to the Greek island of Crete for joint training exercises with its Mediterranean ally, Greece.
The UAE's move came as Turkey and Greece, NATO allies, vehemently disagree over claims to hydrocarbon resources in the Eastern Mediterranean.
UAE allies France and Egypt also strongly oppose Ankara's policies in the region and do not refrain from showing their support Greece.
