The total number of recoveries from coronavirus is now nearly 99,000, or 70 percent of total confirmed cases in the country, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said.

"The increase in the number of new cases is within predictable limits. Some 70 percent of total cases have recovered," Koca wrote on Twitter.

A total of 37,351 tests were done in the country over the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of tests to over 1.4 million, Koca said.

The minister once again stressed the importance of social distancing and using masks and urged the public to continue to avoid crowded places.
