4.8 magnitude quake hits near disaster-struck İzmir
A 4.8 magnitude earthquake hit near the Aegean province of İzmir on Nov. 11, almost two weeks after a devastating earthquake killed 115 people in the province. The epicenter of the quake was placed in Kuşadası Bay, some 18 kilometers from İzmir.

A 4.8 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Kuşadası Bay on Nov. 11, soon after a devastating quake jolted the nearby Aegean province of İzmir on Oct. 30.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located some 18 kilometers from İzmir's Menderes district, and some seven kilometers below sea level.
Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) reported the earthquake to have occurred at 9.49 a.m.
The Oct. 30 İzmir quake killed 115 people and injured hundreds, leaving hundreds more homeless as a result of the material destruction.
