The majority of the voters of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) and the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) have said that they would never vote for the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), a recent poll revealed.

According to the survey carried out by private pollster Metropoll with 5,133 participants, some 60.4 percent of CHP voters and 64.1 percent of HDP voters said that they would never vote for the AKP.

Metropoll head Özer Sencar said that the statistics belong to a survey of undecided voters conducted in February in Turkey.

While some 30.9 of AKP voters said that they would never vote for the CHP, 38.5 percent ruled out voting for the HDP.

One percent of AKP voters ruled out voting for the right-wing Good (İYİ) Party and 1.92 percent said that they would never vote for the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), which is the AKP's staunch ally.

Around 14.3 of CHP voters, meanwhile, said that they would never vote for the HDP. Four percent ruled out the MHP and 0.5 percent rejected the İYİ Party.

MHP voters were the most distant to the HDP, with 59.2 percent saying that they would never vote for the pro-Kurdish party. They were followed by Islamist Felicity Party voters with 44.7 percent.

Thirteen percent of the HDP voters said that they would never vote for the MHP.

Some 6.5 percent of the MHP voters also said that they would never vote for the AKP and 17.3 percent rejected the CHP.

The majority of İYİ Party voters were also seen rejecting the AKP. Some 47.8 said that they would never vote for the ruling party.
