Police took down a banner hung up by the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) in an Antalya office because it displayed a QR code that directed to a question about the $128 billion that went missing from state funds under the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP).
The AKP has actively been dismissing the main opposition's inquiries about the $128 billion that disappeared from the Central Bank's foreign currency reserves under former Finance Minister Berat Albayrak for months now.
Most recently, the government took down the CHP's banners about the missing funds from all their offices around the country in midnight operations that included special operations forces.
As a response, an Antalya office of the CHP had hung up a banner that displayed a QR code with the phrase "Here's the question on 83 million people's minds, scan code to read."
CHP Muratpaşa Chair said that police took down their banner during the early hours of April 21.
