The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation against popular social media influencer Murat Övüç, who was seen traveling on a plane wearing a headscarf and shared those moments on his social media account.
As part of the investigation, Övüç was detained on charges of "insulting religious values."
Recently, Övüç had posted a video of himself wearing a headscarf on a flight with the caption "I am coming to Istanbul," adding, "Whatever I wear, it suits me."
