CHP Group Deputy Chair Özgür Özel submitted two written parliamentary questions to Vice President Fuat Oktay on the donations collected as part of a coronavirus campaign, asking the total amount and where they were spent. Surprisingly, Oktay referred the question to the Family and Social Policies Ministry, even though the whole campaign was carried out by Erdoğan himself.
Former Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım is reportedly seeking to become the vice president when a change in the cabinet takes place, contrary to the rumors on his will to become a parliament speaker. Yıldırım has been off duty ever since the Istanbul elections were won decisively by the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP).
A document titled "COVID-19 normalization plan" with the presidential seal raised question marks in terms of its authenticity on social media, as the file can't be found on any official website. A number of Turkish media outlets reported that the PDF wasn't authentic and that no "normalization plan" was officially announced.
