Top Turkish judicial body dismisses prosecutor over TikTok videos

A Turkish public prosecutor who shook the social media with his videos on TikTok has been temporarily dismissed from his duty by the Board of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK).

Nusreddin Saltabaş, the public prosecutor of the Turgutlu district of the Aegean Manisa province, has been temporarily dismissed from his duty by the Board of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK).

The dismissal came after Saltabaş shared various videos on TikTok.

After the videos went viral on social media, Saltabaş has closed his media accounts.

The HSK launched an investigation into him on charges of "damaging the profession's honor, reputation and respectability." 

A decision will be given with regards to Saltabaş following the completion of the investigation.
